Recertification Table Updates with Recent P & E level exam announcements

If you are holding a Professional- and/or Expert -Level certification earned by completing a lab exam, you can recertify with the new Junos-based JNCIP scenario-based written exams. You will not be required to take another lab exam in order to be recertified.

As you move from the M-Series track to the new Service Provider Routing and Switching Track, specific recertification requirements, are the following:

Currently Have Recertify by taking: Earn Comments
JNCIE-M JN0-660 Professional, Service Provider Routing and Switching (JNCIP-SP) JNCIE-SP This is the written exam supporting the JNCIP-SP certification. Candidates should review the exam description carefully as they may be tested on functionality not tested for in the legacy exams.
JNCIP-M CERT-JNCIE-M lab exam (before it retires in September 30, 2011) JNCIE-M New JNCIE-M certification is active and valid for two years from certification date.
JPR-960 Expert, Service Provider Routing and Switching (JNCIE-SP) lab exam (available in July 2011) JNCIE-SP Candidates should review the exam description carefully as they may be tested on functionality not tested for in the legacy exams.
JN0-660 Professional, Service Provider Routing and Switching (JNCIP-SP) JNCIP-SP This is the written exam supporting the JNCIP-SP certification. Candidates should review the exam description carefully as they may be tested on functionality not tested for in the legacy exams.
JNCIS-M CERT-JNCIP-M lab exam (before it retires in July 31, 2011) JNCIP-M New JNCIP-M certification is active and valid for two years from certification date.

JNCIA-M JN0-360 Specialist, Service Provider Routing and Switching (JNCIS-SP) JNCIS-SP Candidates should review the exam description carefully as they may be tested on functionality not tested for in the legacy exams.
JN0-101 JNCIA-Junos exam JNCIA-Junos    

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • The JNCIA-M and JNCIS-M credentials do not prepare you for the JNCIP-SP or JNCIE-SP credentials and you cannot recertify on the JNCIS-M to obtain your JNCIE-SP.
  • Conversely, the JNCIA-Junos and the JNCIS-SP credentials do not prepare you for your JNCIP-M or JNCIE-M and you cannot recertify on the JNCIS-SP to renew your JNCIP-M or JNCIE-M.

Additional Information: The JN0-304 (JNCIS-M) was retired on December 31, 2010. Therefore, for those who hold JNCIP-M or JNCIE-M credentials there is a period of time in which there is no exam to recertify on. For those individuals who were due to recertify their JNCIP-M or JNCIE-M from October 2010 through July 31, 2011, we have extended your recertification period to August 31, 2011 to allow you enough time to prepare for and pass the written JNCIP-SP that became available on April 22, 2011. Details on this new exam have been emailed directly to those impacted, and also announced on the Juniper Networks Certification Program website.

As you move from the ER-series and EX-series tracks to the new Enterprise Routing and Switching Track, specific recertification requirements, are the following:

Additional Information: The JN0-350 (JNCIS-ER) was retired on December 3, 2010 Therefore, for those who hold JNCIP-M or JNCIE-M credentials there is a period of time in which there is no exam to recertify on. For those individuals who were due to recertify their JNCIE-ER from October 2010 through July 31, 2011 we have extended your recertification period to August 31, 2011 to allow you enough time to prepare for and pass the written JNCIP-ENT available May 13, 2011. Details on this new exam have been emailed directly to those impacted, and also announced on the Juniper Networks Certification Program website.
