SmartPass is a WLAN security management application that gives network managers dynamic access control over all users and devices on a wireless LAN. This WLAN Security management application can adjust access privileges as a user's circumstances change, and securely provision hundreds of guest users on demand.
SmartPass includes standards-based APIs for integrating with third-party applications. Billing, facility management, hospitality registration, and intrusion prevention/intrusion detection systems, custom reporting applications, and other access applications can be integrated into SmartPass.

- RADIUS and ACRs (Access Control Rules) enable dynamic access authorization
- Centralized guest account database that scales to 10,000 users per SmartPass server
- Guest credential notifications via email and SMS text messages
- Wireless session persistence for handheld devices
- Easy-to-use provisioning interface designed for non-IT personnel to provide guest access accounts
SmartPass integrates with the WLM1200 real-time location services management appliance to allow access control and dynamic authorization based on a user's physical location. The WLAN Security management application can also integrate with the RingMaster management suite to provide custom reporting based on user identity, location, and activity history.
