Juniper Expands Channel Organization with New Executive Appointment

Installs New Vice President of Channels

SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 30, 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced it has expanded its channel sales organization with the appointment of Donna Grothjan to the position of vice president of channels. Reporting to Tushar Kothari, Juniper Networks' vice president of Worldwide Channels, Grothjan will drive the company's worldwide distribution strategy and channel marketing programs, and is responsible for the Americas distribution sales teams. A seasoned sales executive, Grothjan brings more than 15 years of channel experience to the organization.

Prior to joining Juniper Networks, Grothjan was with Ingram Micro - a leading IT distributor - where she most recently served as senior vice president of Product Management, North America. In this role, Grothjan was responsible for 800 vendor relationships in the U.S. and Canada representing more than $11 billion in revenue.

Previously, she was Ingram Micro's vice president and general manager of Product Management Systems, where she drove an incremental profit through inventory and product life cycle management. Grothjan joined Ingram Micro in 1989. She has a BA in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
