Juniper Networks Showcases Solutions for Securing the IP Network at Futurecom 2004

Chief Security Technologist Nir Zuk Outlines Vision for Transforming Security

FLORIANÓPOLIS, SC, October 25, 2004 - FUTURECOM 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) will demonstrate its layered security solutions at Futurecom 2004. Additionally, Chief Security Technologist Nir Zuk will deliver a keynote presentation entitled, "The New Network Security," and Vice President of Americas International Sales, Tim Lambie will deliver a presentation outlining Juniper Networks' Infranet vision.

Zuk will outline security technologies that address the network security challenges imposed on networks by the users, applications and attackers, as well as by vulnerabilities in the modern network infrastructure. "In the network security world, applications are the preferred target of attacks," said Zuk. "The most effective way to protect applications against attacks is by network-based security devices, such as Juniper Networks appliances and systems that support modern applications - for example, Peer-to-Peer (P2P), VoIP and video - requiring high performance, bandwidth, application awareness and advanced security."

Juniper Networks security solutions help companies strike a balance between tight network security and the network access required by employees, business partners and customers. Juniper Networks NetScreen integrated firewall and virtual private network (VPN) security combine multiple security technologies in purpose-built appliances optimized to secure critical network resources.
