License Requirements

You must purchase a special license to run Junos-FIPS. Contact your sales representative to obtain a license. Junos-FIPS contains strong encryption and is subject to US and other export control laws and regulations. It may not be exported or re-exported unless either a license is obtained or the export or re-export falls under an available license exception. In addition, export or re-export to Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan or Syria is strictly forbidden. Use in or importation into certain jurisdictions may also be subject to restrictions and/or license requirements.

FIPS 140-2 Certification:

Certain Junos-FIPS releases are submitted to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for certification. Certain other releases, such as maintenance releases, might not be submitted to NIST for certification. Certification occurs after the original release of a product. The following releases have been certified or are pending certification:

Junos 7.2R1.7 - Last Certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 2 on 02/06/2007

Junos 7.4R1.7 - Last Certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 2 on 02/06/2007

Junos 8.1R1.5 - Last Certified to CC EAL3 on 04/20/2007
