For IDP software products, the period of active engineering support will be the current release plus two (2) subsequent releases, or up to eighteen (18) months from the FRS date, whichever occurs first. All software releases are considered major.

Update releases (e.g. service, maintenance, patch) will no longer be created for major software releases after the end of engineering (EOE) date. IDP attack object (signature) updates will be provided until the EOL.

JTAC support will continue after EOE for two (2) subsequent releases or up to twelve (12) months, whichever occurs first. After EOE and until EOL JTAC support will be generally limited to investigation and troubleshooting in an attempt to provide solutions and workarounds. IDP attack object (signature) updates will be provided until EOL is reached.

Prior to IDP 2.1, EOE and EOL dates were the same, Juniper provided engineering support until EOL was reached and provided more than the up to eighteen (18) months of support noted above.

When the release reaches EOL the software images are removed from www.juniper.net and JTAC will only provide support on a commercially reasonable effort basis.

1 No later than the date posted, the date may be earlier if the subsequent releases are reached prior to the months of support option.

2 IDP 2.1 EOL date, for this release only, has been extended to eighteen (18) months after the EOE date.

3 IDP 3.0 EOL date, for this release only, has been extended to fifteen (15) months after the EOE date.

4 IDP 3.2 EOE date, for this release only, has been extended to twenty-six (26) months after the FRS date.

5 IDP 4.1 EOE date, for this release only, has been extended to fifty (50) months after the FRS date.

6 IDP 4.1 EOL date 09/30/2014 for IDP-50 only. IDP 4.1 EOL date for all other IDP models 05/12/2011.
