(NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Inner Mongolia Power will power and protect its network infrastructure with Juniper Networks Integrated Security Gateway (ISG) 1000 and ISG 2000 firewalls to accelerate the delivery of vital services to its citizens. By leveraging the integrated intrusion detection and prevention (IDP) security modules for Juniper's ISG firewalls to combat both known attacks and unknown vulnerabilities, Inner Mongolia Power has created a trusted and responsive network environment that helps ensure the utility's continuous and safe operation.

Inner Mongolia Power is the only large-scale state-owned power enterprise in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It has been rapidly evolving its information infrastructure, including increasing integration among the 12 power supply enterprises and related organizations supported by its IP wide-area network (WAN) in order to deliver services across a highly distributed and trusted environment.
